I love how compact this tripod is—8.8 inches folded fits right in my daypack. The max height of nearly three feet is surprisingly useful for group shots or low-angle video.

The 10.6-ounce weight makes it effortless to toss into a daypack, yet it still stretches up to nearly three feet for solid group shots and low-angle work. I've used it on a rocky trail and a picnic table, and the legs stayed firm in both spots.

Folded down to just 8.8 inches, it disappears into my backpack, yet the 35.8-inch max height is plenty for group shots and low-angle close-ups. The 10.6-ounce weight means I don't even notice it's there until I need it.
