Category: Comparativas

Compara la Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 y la PRO-310 en cuanto a ancho de impresión, sistemas de tinta y funciones inalámbricas para decidir cuál se adapta mejor a tu flujo de trabajo de impresión fotográfica.

Quick answer

Choose the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 if you regularly print 17-inch wide exhibition or client work and need the widest format in this comparison. Choose the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-310 if 13-inch prints cover most of your output and you value a smaller footprint with wireless connectivity.

Print width decides your paper and mounting options

The PRO-1100 is a 17-inch printer, while the PRO-310 is a 13-inch model. That four-inch difference changes which paper rolls and cut sheets you can use without tiling or outsourcing. If your final display size is A2 or 17×22 inches, the PRO-1100 handles it in one pass. If your work stays at A3+ or 13×19 inches, the PRO-310 covers it without the extra width, weight, and space of a 17-inch machine.

Ink systems and gloss control differ between the two

The PRO-310 uses Canon's LUCIA PRO II nine-color ink system and includes a Chroma Optimizer to enhance glossiness and smooth tonal transitions. The PRO-1100 is described by Canon as offering deep blacks and an extensive color gamut, but the supplied catalog does not list its exact ink configuration. If consistent gloss uniformity across the entire print surface is a priority, the PRO-310's Chroma Optimizer is a documented advantage. For the PRO-1100, ask the store or check Canon's specifications for the ink set before committing.

Wireless convenience versus wide-format output

The PRO-310 is a wireless inkjet photo printer, which means you can place it away from your router or print from mobile devices without running a cable. The PRO-1100's catalog entry does not mention wireless connectivity, so plan for a wired network or direct USB connection unless you confirm otherwise. Neither printer is described as portable; both are floor-standing or bench-top professional machines that need dedicated space.

Key trade-offs to weigh

Maximum print width: PRO-1100 prints up to 17 inches wide; PRO-310 prints up to 13 inches wide. If your standard output is larger than 13 inches, the PRO-1100 is the only option here that avoids tiling or outsourcing. Measure your typical final print size before deciding; a 17-inch printer cannot be made smaller, but a 13-inch printer cannot be made wider.
Ink and gloss control: PRO-310 uses a nine-color LUCIA PRO II system with Chroma Optimizer for uniform gloss. PRO-1100's exact ink configuration is not listed in the supplied catalog, so verify it if gloss consistency across large prints is critical. Request the PRO-1100 ink set details from CameraMall if you need to compare gloss behavior directly.
Connectivity and placement: PRO-310 includes wireless printing; PRO-1100 does not list wireless in the supplied facts. Choose PRO-310 if you need to place the printer away from your router or print from mobile devices without cabling. Confirm your network setup before buying the PRO-1100; a wired connection may be required.
